Dear Robloxians,
During these uncertain times, I wanted to reach out to the Roblox community directly. The emergence of COVID-19 is unlike anything we’ve faced before. While this is causing disruption in various aspects of life, we see many people using technology to stay connected, including platforms like Roblox. With that said, our thoughts are with all those that are being negatively impacted by this crisis.
We take our role in helping people connect very seriously and have seen people around the world make important connections with one another on Roblox during this time. In this way, we see Roblox as a utility, and we’ve been working hard to ensure its reliability.
We will create more opportunities to learn and grow on Roblox with the release of a “Learn & Explore” game sort to provide families with easy access to more educational experiences. For those interested in learning game development, we will also be sharing a series of Roblox Studio Webinars in the coming days.
Finally, I want you all to know that we’ve decided to proceed with the Bloxys as scheduled this Saturday at 12:00 pm PDT. Not only is this event a special celebration of what our community has achieved over the past year, but it’s also a way for us to gather and socialize in a shared virtual environment. We hope that it provides a sense of normalcy and togetherness during this challenging time.
