Even though looking good in your new Egg Hunt gear is its own reward, we’re giving you some egg-stra incentive with our Egg Hunt Avatar Contest! Fifty winners will be awarded the exclusive Eggcentric Egg Pauldrons and major bragging rights among Roblox’s fashionistas.
The contest will run from April 26th to May 3rd, and you can enter in one of two ways:
Method One (Twitter): Follow us on Twitter @Roblox, and reply to our tweet with an image of your Roblox avatar wearing an egg(s) from Egg Hunt 2019: Scrambled in Time. Please include a link to your profile, as well as the hashtags #EggHunt2019 and #Roblox.
Method Two (Instagram): Follow us on Instagram @Roblox, and post an image of your Roblox avatar wearing an egg(s) from Egg Hunt 2019: Scrambled in Time. In the caption, please include your Roblox username along with the hashtags #RobloxEggHunt2019 and #Roblox. Then, reply to our Instagram post with the hashtags #EggHunt2019 and #Roblox to let us know you’ve entered. Note that your Instagram account must be public for us to see your entry.
Multiple entries are not permitted. All entries must be received by May 3, 2019, 12:00 PM PDT.
Your submission will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Originality: Does your entry exhibit an original style or aesthetic?
- Appeal: Does your entry fit the fun and imaginative personality of Roblox?
- Creativity: How unique or creative is your entry?
Fifty winners will be chosen: twenty-five from Instagram and twenty-five from Twitter. All entrants must be 13 and older. We’ll announce our picks on Friday, May 10th!

Terms and Conditions
Thank you for being a part of Roblox! As we often say, Roblox is the Imagination Platform, the ultimate virtual universe where imagination rules. Key to that is your imagination and your participation. So, we are excited that you are taking part in Egg Hunt Roblox Avatar Contest (“Contest”).
The following promotion is intended for viewing in the 50 United States, D.C., and Canada, only and is construed and evaluated according to California law. Do not enter this Promotion if you are not a legal resident of, and located in, the 50 United States, D.C., or Canada at the time of entry.
1. Acceptance of Terms. Below are the terms and conditions that govern your participation in the Contest (“Contest Terms”). These Contest Terms are supplemental to the Roblox Terms of Use (“General Terms”) which govern your use of the Roblox websites or any of Roblox products, software, applications, content, data feeds, and services (“Roblox Services”). The General Terms are incorporated herein by reference. In addition, all Instagram terms and conditions apply to your use of Instagram in connection with the Contest and failure to comply with the Instagram terms of use which are displayed on www.instagram.com will invalidate your entry. If there is any conflict between the Contest Terms, on the one hand, and the Instagram terms and conditions, on the other hand, then the Contest Terms will apply in relation to disputes relating to the Contest. If you do not agree to the General Terms and the Contest Terms, you may not participate in the Contest.
2. General conditions. The Contest is open to Roblox registered users who are 13 years of age or older as of the entry date and have a valid Instagram account. Roblox employees, their immediate family members and persons living in the same household are not eligible. The Promotion is open only to (i) legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and Canada; (ii) who are 13 years of age or older as of the start of the Promotion Period (defined below); and (iii) who have a valid public Instagram account. The Contest is void where prohibited or limited by law or where registration, bonding or localization required. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the Contest, and a purchase or payment will not increase the chances of winning. Chance of winning depends on the skill entrant and the number of entrants. If an entrant is under the age of majority in his/her state of residence, the entrant may only enter the Contest and is only eligible to win with the consent of the entrant’s parent or legal guardian. In such a case, you represent, warrant and covenant that both you and your parent or legal guardian have read these Contest Terms and agree to be bound thereby. You further acknowledge and agree that by entering the Sweepstakes you are accepting a benefit that you cannot return or disgorge and that we are relying on your representations regarding your ability to accept and perform these Contest Terms, and you therefore waive any right you may have under applicable law to void, rescind, or otherwise avoid these Contest Terms. The sponsor reserves the right to confirm parental consent at any time by any manner including by having the entrant’s parent or legal guardian sign a parental consent form. If you are a parent or guardian consenting to these Contest Terms on behalf of a child between the ages of 13 and 18, you additionally agree to guarantee and be fully responsible for that person’s performance hereunder, including all financial obligations or liability he or she may incur, and all disclaimers and waivers of applicable legal protections provided herein, and you agree to take all actions (including executing such additional documents or agreements) necessary to effect and perfect the foregoing. In such cases, prizes will be awarded in the name of the Winner’s (as defined below) parent or legal guardian. Any reference to an entrant herein shall be deemed to include his/her parent or legal guardian, as applicable. In all other cases, you represent that you are 18 years or older and fully competent to enter, and you hereby agree and acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules without modification.
3. Duration of the Contest/Entry Method.
3.1. Duration of the Contest. The Egg Hunt Roblox Avatar Contest will run online from 12:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (“PDT”) on Friday, April 26, 2019 to 12:00 PM PDT on Friday May 3, 2019 (“Contest Period”).
3.2. Entry Method number one. If you choose the Twitter route:
a) Log into your Twitter account.
b) Follow Roblox’s Twitter account.
c) Within the Contest Period, reply to our Twitter tweet with the following in the for your Entry: a link to your Roblox profile, and the hashtag “#EggHunt2019”and “#Roblox” in the caption.
d) You must post your own Roblox profile and not anyone else’s. If you are caught posting anyone else’s avatar you will be disqualified.
e) Your Twitter profile must be public to qualify.
f) Submitting more than one post will not increase your chances of winning and multiple entries will not be accepted.
g) Your Roblox avatar MUST be equipped with the newest eggs from Egg Hunt 2019: Scrambled in Time.
h) Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter the Contest will be ineligible to participate in the Contest.
i) Any Entry that is obscene, or anything that does not follow Roblox’s Community Guidelines, will not be accepted.
j) To be valid, all Entries must be received no later than Friday May 3, 2019, 12 PM PDT.
k) We will announce winners Friday May 10, 2019.
3.3. Entry Method number 2. If you choose the Instagram route:
a) Log into your Instagram account.
b) Follow Roblox’s Instagram account.
c) Within the Contest Period, reply to our Instagram post by commenting “#RobloxEggHunt2019” and “#Roblox” to let us know you’ve successfully created a submission.
d) Within the Contest Period, post a photo to Instagram of your Roblox Avatar with your Roblox username in the caption. Make sure your username is spelled correctly. Add the hashtag “#RobloxEggHunt2019” and #Roblox in the caption. You must post your own Roblox Avatar and not anyone else’s. If you are caught posting anyone else’s avatar you will be disqualified.
e) Your Instagram profile must be public to qualify.
f) Submitting more than one post will not increase your chances of winning and multiple entries will not be accepted.
g) Your Roblox avatar MUST be equipped with the newest eggs from Egg Hunt 2019: Scrambled in Time.
h) Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter the Contest will be ineligible to participate in the Contest.
i) Any Entry that is obscene, or anything that does not follow Roblox’s Community Guidelines, will not be accepted.
j) To be valid, all Entries must be received no later than Friday May 3, 2019, 12 PM PDT.
k) We will announce winners Friday May 10, 2019.
4. Winner selection. After the end of the Contest Period, we will choose the twenty-five (25) best Entries (“Best Entries”) on Instagram and twenty-five (25) best entries (“Best Entries”) on Twitter. We will judge the entries based on the following equally weighted criteria: creativity, relevance, and originality. Potential winning Entrants will be contacted via Instagram direct messaging. If a potential winning Entrant is determined by Sponsor to be ineligible, unqualified to participate in this Promotion, in violation of these Official Rules, or does not respond to Sponsor’s correspondence within 48 hours, the potential winning Entrant may be disqualified and a new potential winning Entrant will be selected by the same equally weighted criteria, if time permits.
5. Prize. The authors of Best Entries (“Winners”) will each receive the Egg Hunt 2019 pauldrons (“Prize”). The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Prize is 0 USD. There is no cash alternative to the Prize. Failure to acknowledge receipt of your win, or provide full name and address, within 48 hours of receiving notice from Roblox (or within claim period if specifically stated) will invalidate potential winner and we will pick an alternative winner. You acknowledge that in the event you are a winner we may post your Instagram or Roblox user name on Instagram, Twitter, Roblox and other places.
6. Intellectual Property Rights. In the course of participating in this Contest, whatever you provide to us (whether we ask for it or not) will be considered User-Generated Contest (UGC), as that term is defined in the General Terms. For the sake of clarity, that UGC will be subject to the General terms, including without limited Section 6b.
7. Cancellation. If we are not capable of running the Contest as planned, we reserve the right at our sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest and select the Best Entries from among all otherwise eligible Entries received prior to the cancellation. Persons attempting to “game” the Contest or tampering with the Contest in any way whatsoever to gain an unfair advantage, violating the fair play or spirit of the rules, or abusing any aspect of the Contest will be disqualified. We reserve the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors, including without limitation computer errors that erroneously award prizes.
8. Conduct. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to disqualify any individual we believe to be tampering with the entry process or the operations of the Contest or the Roblox website; to be acting in violation of the Contest Terms and the General Terms; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY DELIBERATE ATTEMPT BY A USER OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, WE AND ACNG RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
9. Third Parties. You understand that the Contest may involve advertisers, sponsors or other third parties (“Third Parties”). YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE CONTEST IS SOLELY BETWEEN YOU AND US (AND NOT WITH ANY THIRD PARTIES), THAT THIRD PARTIES WILL HAVE NO LIABLITY TO YOU FOR ANYTHING RELATED TO THE CONTEST, AND THAT IN ANY CASE YOU RELEASE ALL THIRD PARTIES FROM ANY LIABLITY TO YOU RELATED IN ANY WAY TO THE CONTEST.
10. Winner’s List. Individuals may request the names of the Winners by submitting a self-addressed stamped envelope prior to May 30, 2019 to Egg Hunt 2019 Avatar Contest Winner’s List Request, 970 Park Place, Suite 100, San Mateo, CA 94403. Vermont residents may omit postage.
