A mysterious curse has befallen the Robloxia Library. Words are vanishing from the pages of our books, and now it’s up to you to use the power of code to help players restore them to their former glory! Visit the Creator Challenge page below to begin your first lesson and complete each corresponding quiz to unlock exclusive rewards through January 22. Roblox & Hour of Code™
We love hearing when kids and others start learning how to code on Roblox. What’s also exciting is that they’re not just engaging in computer science. They’re practicing other valuable skills such as entrepreneurship, game design, 3D modeling, and more. Stories like these are happening year-round in classrooms, after-school programs, summer camps, and homes in more than 21 countries worldwide. To date, we’ve reached over 39,000 students through our Roblox Education programs. And nearly 300,000 new games were published on Roblox from our Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Creator Challenge last summer. This is a huge testament to the impact Roblox is making within the STEM education community.
We developed the Story Game Creator Challenge to invite Robloxians everywhere to participate in the Hour of Code™ during Computer Science Education Week (December 3-9, 2018). If you’re unfamiliar, the Hour of Code™ is a global movement organized by Code.org that aims to introduce tens of millions of students worldwide to computer science. Together with Hour of Code™, we look forward to seeing even more amazing creations from the community and inspiring even more players to become creators.
