Roblox Partners with Jurassic World for Its First Creator Challenge

Ah, summer. Our favorite season is almost here. The school year is winding down, and soon you’ll be free to play and explore Roblox to your heart’s content. Finally—sweet, sweet freedom! But hey, with all that free time on your hands, why not learn how to create your OWN game this summer? We’re super excited to announce that we’re partnering with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to introduce our first Creator Challenge on Roblox! Pack your bags, Robloxians; we’re heading to Volcanic Island!

Anyone can build a game on Roblox. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to coding or you’ve never designed a virtual world. With a little imagination and the right tools, you’re already well on your way to taking the first leap into game development. The Creator Challenge is made up of three fun, simple lessons. Once completed, you’ll have created your own game!

Your goal is to rescue Blue, the fan-favorite character from the Jurassic World films, from an erupting volcano. You’ll learn how to create platforms to help lead her to safety, as well as how to add scripts to enhance gameplay. After that, well, it’s up to you. You can keep adding more advanced mechanics to your game, play it with your friends, or share it with the entire world!

While making your own game is a reward in and of itself, we’re also rewarding players with exclusive virtual prizes. Everyone who completes the lessons and the accompanying quizzes can earn up to three unique items for their avatar from now until September 12! Check them out below:
