Roblox is pleased to announce 2-Step Verification, an opt-in security feature that provides your account with an extra layer of protection. In addition to your username and password, this system requires you to enter a 6-digit security code that we will send to you via email whenever you log in from a new or untrusted device. We believe this system will ensure that your experience on Roblox is safer, more secure, and ultimately more enjoyable.

How do I enable 2-Step Verification?

First, open your Account Settings. Under the new “Security” tab in your Account Settings page, you’ll be able to opt-in or opt-out of Two-Step Verification.

If you haven’t already verified your email account, you will be asked to do so before you can enable this feature. All users who verify their email address will receive this awesome virtual hat for free!

Verified, Bonafide, Plaidafied

Once 2-Step Verification is activated, we will notify you via email every time we see that you or someone else is trying to log in to your account from a new or untrusted device. A successful login requires the 6-digit security code that we send to your email. This extra step greatly reduces the odds that would-be intruders could get access to your account on the chance that they somehow discover your login credentials.

When you enter the security code, you can check the box to “trust this device for 30 days” so you won’t be asked to input a new code on that device for the next 30 days.
