Time to give yourselves a round of applause, ROBLOX players, because you all did something awesome!

A couple weeks ago we encouraged ROBLOX players to purchase the special in-game Ice Bucket gear as part of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. We promised to donate the proceeds of the sales to the ALS Association for research toward a cure. The community responded strongly — and more so than it has for any prior charity event. Nearly 60,000 people purchased an Ice Bucket, and we received hundreds of videos of ROBLOXians doing the Ice Bucket Challenge in game and in real life. Awesome work, guys!

With your contributions, and the donations from ROBLOX staff members, we were able to raise over $6,200 from ROBLOX as a team. We couldn’t have done it without all of you (and that includes those of you who challenged us in the first place).
