We just wrapped up a full weekend at Maker Faire Bay Area, where we set up shop in a spacious 20-by-20-foot booth and introduced the world of ROBLOX to everyone we possibly could. While we gave the entirety of the internet a chance to attend via our two-day, approximately seven-hour (total) Twitch livestream, we’re still buzzing — in spite of the fatigue — enough to show you even more of what we saw and experienced over the weekend.

As mentioned previously, the vast majority of our 2014 events are taking place at Maker Faires across the country, and fueled by builders and developers from the community. For Maker Faire Bay Area — the original and now-flagship Maker Faire — we had some of the most prevalent regional developers join us staff members in spreading the word. We were able to meet such visionaries as SmoothBlockModel, Litozinnamon and game-dev partner Shaylan007, and TheAmazeman, as well other up-and-coming creators who were excited to show off their work. Just about everyone who participated in the booth jumped on our Twitch livestream, so check out our Twitch channel highlights or our YouTube channel to see archives of the live event.

You can get a sense of the energy and personalities in our booth via pictures alone. We’d like to give a special shoutout to Indomitablewhite, who probably traveled the furthest to get to Maker Faire Bay Area — all the way from Toronto, Canada.

Here’s a taste of everything else going on at Maker Faire Bay Area 2014.

What’s next on the ROBLOX @ Maker Faire agenda? The Vancouver Mini Maker Faire takes place on June 7th and 8th in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We’re still looking for two more volunteers to help us staff the booth — once we get eight participants, we’ll sponsor the booth. The Mini Maker Faire NC is also happening on June 7th in Raleigh, NC. We’ve already had 20 builders and developers sign up to participate in that booth, which means we’ll be flying out a ROBLOX staff member to join you!
