New York City, it’s your turn. We’ve been practicing our BLOXcon game over the last month in Chicago and London, and it’s all been in anticipation of making this final in-person event of the summer as epic as it can possibly be.

Feeling excited? Anticipation mounting? Urge to dance frantically becoming increasingly irresistible? We understand. For those of you who are attending, we’ve refreshed the event website with the information and details you need to make the most of your all-day BLOXcon experience at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.

Things to do at BLOXcon NYC

All BLOXcon attendees will be able to watch one of our roughly two-hour Main Stage Presentations, participate in Hackathons (building and scripting contests), and play and build in the R&D Lab. There will also be opportunities to meet the ROBLOX staff, browse cowbear16’s selection of ROBLOX Lua Programming books, and browse tons of ROBLOX schwag. As was the case in Chicago and London, we’ll have an exclusive BLOXcon NYC body package that you can obtain by purchasing $40 worth of ROBLOX merchandise (t-shirts, sweatshirts, fedoras, pins, and ROBLOX cards). We’ll have a preview of the package in the coming days.

Fan-organized pre-BLOXcon meetup

legostarwarsclone is such a big ROBLOX fan that he, with some help from his family, has organized a fan meetup for Friday, August 9th — just before BLOXcon NYC. This is not a ROBLOX-sponsored event, but the effort deserves a mention. There is room for 100 attendees (50 at each session).

• When: Friday August 9, 2013 (5:00 – 6:00 p.m. or 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.)
• Where: FAO Schwarz Flagship Store (767 5th Ave, New York, NY 10022)
• Why: To eat pizza and do an FAO Schweetz candy raid, all while meeting other ROBLOXians before BLOXcon, among other things.
