Tips for mobile game development
I talked with several members of the ROBLOX team about how you can design games and places that play well on mobile devices. They shared tips that span user interface placement, simplicity in game play and things you can do with touch detection, and you can check them out here. We hope it helps you achieve cross-platform greatness in the early, Wild-West days of mobile ROBLOX gaming.
Answers to your mobile gaming questions
There are a few questions we receive every time we start a discussion about mobile ROBLOX gaming. Among them:
- Will games need to be as optimized as possible to run well on mobile?
- Will ROBLOX eventually come out for Androids too? Or is it iOS exclusive?
- Will there ever be a mobile version of Studio? Just something to test scripts with?
John Shedletsky responds to all of these and more in our latest, mobile-themed Responding to User Feedback article. You can check out an archive of these posts by checking out the User Feedback tag.
