How do you program the gear?

The majority of the work for the gear is done in Lua scripts.  If you aren’t familiar, Lua is the scripting language ROBLOX uses to make things in the game come alive and do things.  A lot of my time is spent writing scripts and making sure there aren’t any bugs in them.  I encourage all Robloxians to try and script something, there are a lot of great tutorials on the ROBLOX wiki!

Where do you get the gear ideas?

Lots of places.  Sometimes it’s from fellow ROBLOX staff members (mostly Telamon and BrightEyes), sometimes it’s something I think would be cool to see in the ROBLOX community.  The ROBLOX community is very creative as well, so I get a lot of awesome ideas from fellow Robloxians.

What is it like to work with Telamon and BrightEyes?

Absolutely crazy! J/k, it’s a lot of fun.  We spend most of our time together brainstorming new ideas, which is always exciting.  They are pretty good at jumping on trampolines too.
