It’s a building contest. Hooray!

The theme is wintery holiday type stuff, so get your creative wheels spinning and show us what you can do with the idea of a Winter Wonderland. Make a place that’s fun for you and your friends to play in!

Winter Wonderland

Each contestant will build a Winter Wonderland. What will go into your Wonderland? Here are some ideas:

• A skating pond
• A snow fort
• A ski lift
• Ice sculptures
• Sleds
• Gifts under trees

You can use existing models and anything published to the Toolbox in your creation. Entries will be judged according to:

• Originality (show us something new and exciting)
• Winteryness (it is a Winter Wonderland, you know)
• Fun (is your level fun?)
• Awesomeness (The "Wow! How did he do that?!" effect)
• Popularity (if you’ve had 20 people playing in your map since you’ve released it, that’s got to count for something)

Judges will be pulled from the ROBLOX staff and possibly some of the mod team.

How do I Enter the Contest?

We have something new for this contest… Two Entry Classes!

Competing – In this category only a limited number of entries will win. The winners will receive the fabulous prizes, rank, and Exclusive Contest Hat. The winners will be revealed at the end of the contest, though the list of entrants will be published as it goes along.

Showing – Any number of entries will be accepted to this category and everyone’s a winner (of a little something). This is the no-pressure way to enter the contest. Entries that are very pretty or entertaining will be posted in the News in the parade style like the previous contest. Showing entries can use as many published models as they like.

All entries are judged by the ROBLOX Team.

Do not make a new account for this contest!  To enter in the competing class you MUST send and email to [email protected] with the following information.

Email for the Competing class:

1. The words "I am competing for fame and prizes!"

2. Your account name.

That account must have the Winter Wonderland place on it. We’re not going looking all over for these places. Prizes will go to the account name listed here, no substitutions.

3. Call your place "__________ Winter Wonderland where your account name is in the blank.

Example: ReeseMcBlox’s Winter Stronghold.

Email for the Showing class:

1. The words, "I just want to show off my creations. I don’t really care about prizes."

2. Your account name.

That account must have the Winter Wonderland place on it. We’re not going looking all over for these places. Prizes will go to the account name listed here, no substitutions.

3. Call your place "__________ Winter Wonderland where your account name is in the blank.

Example: ReeseMcBlox’s Winter Stronghold

Q: Will Builder’s Club be one of the prizes?

A: No.

Q: Can I enter more than once?

A: Only in the Showing class. Competing class is one entry per player.

Q: Can I enter the Competing and Showing class?

A: Yes, but it has to be a different place.

Q: Can I use my other account?

A: Yes, but the prize will go there.

Q: Can we send you a PM instead of an email?

A: Nope.

Q: Do I have to use the previously published Stronghold?

A: No. You can start with a new blank place.

The contest starts now! It ends on January 4 at noon Pacific time. The results will be announced on Monday January 7. I can’t wait to start seeing what you guys come up with this time. Have fun!
